What is an Evolve U Bootcamp?!

                                                               8 WEEK MORNING BOOTCAMP
 We get lots of questions when we launch our bootcamps. So we thought we would answer all your questions in one place.

WHEN: Every Tuesday & Thursday 9-9:45am
                   Starts Tuesday September 26th and runs until November 16th
COST: $150 for non-members $95 for members (16 sessions)
HOW MANY PEOPLE: Limited to first 20 that pay OR make a $50 downpayment. We allow payment plans as long as it's paid in full by the last day, and we accept cash, check or credit/debit cards.
WHAT DO WE DO: Our bootcamps are higher intensity workouts designed to challenge your mind and body. We typically use every piece of equipment in our facility over the course of the bootcamp. Treadmills, rowers, ropes, bikes, dumbbells, barbells, steps and lots of bodyweight exercises.
WHO CAN SIGNUP: We recommend our bootcamps to people who have had some experience working out at some point in their life. Bootcamps are a great way to jumpstart your weightloss, find your motivation again, get through a plateau or simply experience a new level of fitness.   We typically do not recommend not starting out with a bootcamp  if you have injuries or are severely overweight.

Evolve U Fitness is now part of NIHCA!! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? ....That U get money deposited into your bank account simply for working out!! Most insurance companies reimburse U up to $20 per month! U chase your goals, we report your workouts and U get the money! If U need an extra push and some accountability THIS IS IT!!
Here are the insurance programs NIHCA/ EVOLVE U currently works with.
  • Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota members can visit myBlueCross in the member self-service center at www.bluecrossmn.com to find out if they are eligible. Members can click on the “Plan Details” tab and select “Health Programs and Discounts” and finally, select “find a fitness center.” Members must be at least 18 years old to participate in the fitness discounts program. A maximum of two qualifying adult Blue Cross members per household may participate and receive the up to $20 credit.
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota: Active members of fully insured group plans and most individual purchasers of BCBSND plans are eligible to participate. Members of a self-insured group plan that’s administered by BCBSND may also be eligible if their employer offers the program. A maximum of two qualifying adult BCBSND members (Subscriber and Spouse) may participate and receive the up to $20 *credit. NEW ~ BCBSND Metallic program – The Metallic program requires eligible members to work out 12 times per month; 18 years of age or older; subscriber and spouse are eligible; up to $10 per month will be credited back to the member(s).
  • South Country Health Alliance (SCHA) is excited to reward its members for taking the initiative to live an active and healthy lifestyle. Through the Be Fit & Be Active programs, SCHA members can receive reimbursements for exercising at their local health facilities. Be Fit ~ Eligible members will receive up to a $20 reimbursement for working out 8 times per month. NEW ~ Be Active ~ Eligible members will receive up to a $20 reimbursement without having a minimum requirement to meet.
  • UCare for Seniors:  Each individual participating in the program does not need to meet a minimum number of workouts per month to earn the reimbursement (credit) of up to $20 reimbursement p/mo.  However UCare for Senior members must be a paid member at a participating NIHCA facility.  I.E.  0 workouts p/mo = an up to $20 reimbursement p/mo UCare Choices:  Each individual participating in the program must work out 12 times or more per month to earn the reimbursement (credit) of up to $20 for individual and up to $40 for family membership.  I.E.  12 workouts p/mo = an up to $20 reimbursement p/mo
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield Wyoming: The Health Club Credit Program rewards members for leading a healthy lifestyle – complements of their employer! Eligible members that work-out a minimum of 12 times per month at a participating fitness center will receive up to a $20 credit (up to $40 per household for adults covered under each plan). NIHCA is an independent company that manages fitness incentive programs for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming members.
  • As always we also have SilverSneakers and Silver & Fit-these programs allow older adults to workout for free!

TAKE ACTION!

      We are already at the end of January 2016! As u begin to tackle those goals u may be realizing that changing those old habits and truly accomplishing your goals is going to be a bit harder than u imagined. Well the bad news is you're right, its' going to be hard....but that's also the good news! If changing the way U think, acted and felt was easy then we would all be in a lot better shape and a lot healthier, BUT we wouldn't appreciate things nearly as much.
    When u set those goals for 2016 they probably included something along the lines of finally getting in shape, losing weight or starting to eat healthy.  Or maybe your goals were more directed to your professional, personal or spiritual life.  Whatever the goals are the journeys tend to be the same. 
     We have to first decide what the change is we want to happen, we then start to take steps in the direction of the new goal.  Step three typically goes one of two ways: u either realize how hard it is going to be to reach that goal and u give up OR u dig a little deeper into your heart and soul and REALLY begin to make that change in your life.
     Action: /akSHen/ noun 1. the fact or process of doing something, typically to achieve an aim 2. a thing done; an act.
     Change takes action. And no one in the world can make a change in your life except U!! So today we challenge U to take action in your life! Begin to make small changes and move towards your goals for 2016.
     We WANT U to CHOOSE to truly change for good. We want U to CHOOSE that difficult path towards the greater good for YOURSELF. Take action for U! Change for U!

Member of the Month

Our member of the month is a perfect example of our "fitness is for everyone" mentality.  Addy is a thirteen year old girl that has changed her own life, inspired her own family and inspires every single one of us in the studio! Her mother's words describe Addy's journey the best:
"I have seen Addy grow up this year. Take responsibility for her health and make better choices.  [Working out] has helped her focus while doing her school work and chores.  At home she has become a great supporter of me and wants to make our whole family healthier."

Addy's energy, charisma and genuine heart shine through her gentle voice and bright, beautiful smile!
Ashley and Erin have been blown away by the physical and mental changes in Addy.  When she first started coming to classes, Addy was shy, hiding her inner strength and would have never ever jumped in the front row of class. Today Addy is so much stronger!  She is much more confident and has absolutely no problem jumping right in the front row!!  Proud doesn't even begin to explain how we feel about Addy, she is a blessing to us all.  It has been such an honor to be a part of her journey.
" I started coming a year ago with a friend who dragged me with her to try it. When my friend ditched me because she broke her foot, I had to take the steps to go for me and not just with a friend. I kept coming because of the wonderful people that I have met. They have encouraged me, and even have picked me up a few times.  Ashley & Erin have been wonderful working with me to make sure I can keep coming too ."

And the winner is.....

For the past 18 weeks we have had the wonderful opportunity to work with a group of women and watch them transform their lives with our new “U” challenge. The U is a three part challenge that is more than just working out: we get down to the root of what got you to where you are today, how to move forward and conquer your personal and fitness goals. The first six weeks we focus on learning, goal setting and making small changes. The second six weeks we begin to learn more about working out and beginning to chase those goals.  Our final six weeks, we begin to prepare the women for the next part of their journey, with more focus on holding themselves accountable and figuring out what works for them on a daily basis.

We could write a book on everything that these 19 women did over the past eighteen weeks, they truly exceeded our expectations and left a mark on our hearts. They band together, became each other’s biggest supporters and found new ways to encourage and build each other up. Our slogan “stronger everyday” proved to be what they lived by. Each one of them have had amazing physical transformations, but what has been even more amazing is their emotional and mental growth. Their spirits have blossomed and they have all become truer versions of themselves.

The top five from our first ever U15 challenge were:

Lost 18.37%, 35.20 pounds and 18 inches

2.) Kelsey Kurhais 17.24% 33.3 lbs & 16 inches

3.) Kristi Taylor 12.95%, 21 pounds & 13.25 inches

4.) Leesa Palm, 12.39% & 28.6 pounds

5.) Kerry Kelly, 11.62%, 23.2 pounds & 9.25 inches
