Most people who decide to start taking classes have one problem in common….they aren’t sure what class to start with! At least once or twice a week we are asked to help someone decide where to begin, so we thought we would just post the answer here.
The short answer of what class do I start with is “whatever class appeals to U the most.” The longer answer is this:
U will see a wide variety of fitness levels and ages in every one of our classes, which is why we offer modifications and variations to every exercise. All of our classes (except those labeled intense) are designed for the average person to be able to come into and begin working out. For people who have injuries or limitations, we like to meet with you and suggest specific classes or alternatives to exercises U may see in our classes. With that being said, we do have a few classes we recommend starting out with:
-20/20/20 stands for twenty minutes of low-impact cardio, twenty minutes of strength training and twenty minutes of core work and stretching. Low-impact exercising is designed to be easy on your joints and body, but this class will still give U a great workout!
-Lunchtime classes are only 30 minutes and each one focuses on a different muscle group. U use your own body weight and your choice of weights. Butts & Guts is on Mondays and focuses on your lower body and core, Wednesdays is Core (abs & back) and Thursdays U will burn your arms in Gunz. Lunchtime classes begin at 12:15pm.
-Yoga Sculpt is a full body toning workout that ends with a gentle yoga flow and meditation.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays we offer 6am classes (yes you read that right!). Sculpt is on Tuesdays and is a full body toning class that incorporates strength training using your own body weight, as well as dumbbells. Thursday morning’s Erin offers Kick N Rip, which is a mix of our popular kickboxing class and strength training.
